Kicking my own A$$ ~ 21.5 pounds to go! Edition

According to my tickerfactory ticker at the bottom of the blog I'm only a "mere" 21.5 pounds from losing my goal weight of 25 pounds. I worked my arms and upper body enough sunday night into monday morning that I've been sore the last couple days. I was doing so well then I got jonesing for ice cream and Pepsi (which I did not finish the whole thing, but I think it's going to be harder for me to give up soda than I thought). I'm not going to beat myself up about every little "mis-step" either, cause I did that last time and it lead me to give up.

My plan for today is to work out the lower body and maybe get some more ab work in too. I thought it was going to be a lot harder to go from a not so healthy lifestyle to a much more healthy lifestyle. I've learned that it's all about moderation. I'm learning that I'd rather eat more smaller meals in a day than 2 or three larger meals in a day. I've also learned that I'm now addicted to Activa yogurt. I'm partial to the raspberry at this point because that's the only flavor I've tried so far, but it's just so darn good. On the days that I work I try not to eat after 9 a.m. (for those new to the blog I work third shift). I can hardly wait to see what the final results are going to look like!

Hi Jamie, thanks for stopping by my blog and telling me what kind of bull that was! I was wondering because I'd never seen one like that, and the judges didn't say.

Good luck with your weightloss and lifestyle changes. I've enjoyed reading here and will be back!

Girl stay away from the soda, there's something like the equivalent of 2 cups of white sugar in each can of it. I know people who would drink like 1 or 2 cans of it a day and when they stopped drinking it shed pounds of weight, no other diet or exercise needed. Scary thought in and of itself. I'm on a medication that makes it all taste like sodium bicarbonate, ruined all soda for me. Blessing in disguise. Now I only drink iced tea (2 tsp of sugar) or water. Self discipline bites! Doesn't taste very good either but it does pay off.

Tis true--my husband quit the soda and the weight just fell off.

As soon as it is dark after work, I will get on the workout wagon with you

You are doing great!

Keep up the good work! I quit drinking cokes about 10 years ago. Once you do it, there's no lookin' back!
